Here's some information about this blog in the author's own words:

"For the last 30 years I have been studying many different languages and cultures of the world. For 20 of those years I have been teaching, interpreting and translating some of those languages. My love of languages began as a very young child when my grandmother introduced to me German, the language of her parents. I also grew up with American Sign Language and interpreted that language for several years while in college. I studied Spanish, French and Russian linguistics at Purdue University. I currently am a translator and own translation company. My goal with this blog is to share my passion for all things related to language with other language students, translators, interpreters, teachers and interested readers."
